Tessa Hamelin My basic background is by September I will be teaching for about two years and practicing for 6 years. I did my yoga teacher training in Thailand and am a certified chakra yoga teacher, and reiki practitioner. My present and previous training has been with yoga therapist, michelle anderson, which leads me to pay a lot of attention to the individual needs of different bodies.
My focus in class is on the breath, alignment, and finding everyones edge, no matter what level the students are at. I encourage everyone to work at their own pace and become aware of their body and breath, but most importantly to enjoy the process. |

Aerial silks classes will teach students basic skills such a foot locks, straddles, hip locks, and complex wraps which will later be developed into dynamic tricks. As students build strength in the core and upper body, more and more complex aerial sequences are taught, further developing technical proficiency and building the skills of the aerial artist. At intermediate levels, elements of dance and theatrical performance are incorporated into the work to allow artists to begin to develop their own original interpretations of linked sequences and to encourage the development of the unique artistic vision each performer brings to the apparatus.
